New Fund to Support Student-Led Initiatives in Linguistic Anthropology
The Department of Anthropology is pleased to announce the creation of the Brilliant Family Fund in Graduate-Student Led Initiatives in Linguistic Anthropology. Created by a generous donation of Marc Brilliant, this endowment will provide support for graduate student–led initiatives and projects in the field of linguistic anthropology and the anthropological study of communication and sign processes in social life. Such support may include, but is not limited to, graduate student–led workshops, conferences, lectures or lecture series, and/or lab support.
Announcements for funding opportunities will be made at a later date. We're looking forward to the wonderful graduate-student initiatives the Brilliant Fund will make possible in continuing the anthropological study of language and communication at the University of Chicago!
