Ryan Jobson’s “The Case for Letting Anthropology Burn: Sociocultural Anthropology in 2019” was recently translated into French by Nathan Pécout-Le Bras, École d’Études Sociologiques et Anthropologiques, Université d’Ottawa. Pécout-Le Bras selected Jobson’s 2020 article for its ongoing relevance to global climate crises, the rise of authoritarianism, and the article’s place in the history of epistemological crises in anthropology.
