
Yifan Ping is a Ph.D. student in Anthropology at the University of Chicago. Their current research interests focus on the transnational circulation and logistics of capital, global financial infrastructures, as well as kinship and affect. Drawing from entrepreneurial experiences, Yifan explores how global capitalism is reshaped by local agents, affective interactions, and novel forms of sociality.
Before coming to Chicago, Yifan worked in the edu-tech and consulting industries. They hold an M.Sc. in International and Comparative Education with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a B.A. with Highest Honors from Swarthmore College.
