PhD Candidate

Hunter Kennedy is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chicago. His dissertation project examines how northern Arizona was transformed by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam. Through ethnographic and archival methods, he focuses on the history of boom- and border-towns, contemporary dam operations, ideologies of water management, and more. Hunter holds a BA and MA in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
