I am interested in how Blackness and Indigeneity surface in legal arguments about property and ownership. I plan to pursue this study in the greater Memphis, TN area where I hope to gain insight into how Black land loss is a legal experience as well as a consequence of the unequal socio-economic relationships that finance capitalism exploits.
