PhD Candidate

Alexander MacNeil is a third-year PhD student in the department. He received his bachelor's degree in anthropology and religious studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada and a master's degree in anthropology at York University in Toronto, Canada. Currently he is studying practices of design and planning in the context of the development of the 2025 Osaka World Exposition and Japan's new "Society 5.0" national strategy.
