Celebrating Ray Fogelson
Family, friends, and colleagues gathered October 14, 2022, to reflect on the life and work of Professor Ray Fogelson, a fond fixture of the department for over 50 years. Ray is remembered for his impact on the fields of ethnohistory and Native American Studies, as well as his love of the Chicago Bears and a penchant for bawdy puns.
The memorial at the Quadrangle Club was live-streamed on Zoom and the recording can be seen here.
In inimitable fashion, Ray gave us a bit of himself and a history of ourselves at this speech he gave at his retirement party.
