Dissertation Title: Designing Dhammacracy: An Ethnography of Design Activism and Cosmopolitical Representation in Thailand
I am a design anthropologist and architectural designer. After teaching and practicing architecture in Bangkok and the US for seven years, I sought a doctorate in Anthropology at the University of Chicago to help me theorize some of the many entanglements among design, politics and systematicity that I had encountered while living and working in Bangkok. I continue to design while completing my dissertation on design activism in Bangkok from my home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
