Dissertation Title: Image and the Total Utopia: Scaling Raciolinguistic Belonging in Singapore

Josh is a PhD candidate in Sociocultural and Linguistic Anthropology. His primary research project is about the public politics of language, race, and belonging in Singapore. He is committed to creating inclusive, antiracist spaces in his research, writing, and teaching (both in and outside the classroom). Josh is currently working on new projects on collaborative public pedagogies and the raciolinguistic politics of belonging among demographic micro-minorities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
